Worked flawlessly. I needed a firewire port on my computer for an external storage device and camcorder. My files were going to be very large so I needed speed for transfer. This 4 feet travel cable USB worked out great. Easy installation and Windows recognized it no problem. I was up and running in no time. Would definitely buy again.translate

Works fine with driver update. I got this for a computer that was several years old and did not have USB 2. This installed easy and seemed to work ok but then I found that the dialup internet access was not working properly. I checked the the USB drivers and found a couple that needed to be updated. When these were updated everything worked fine. It is just what we needed. We were interested in the USB ports and have not used the firewire ports.translate

Lifesaver. What can I say? It's a wire! But it is also a lifesaver for me, now I can transfer my camcorder video's to my desktop and laptop computers. No more little tapes lying around my office, and no knowledge of what's on them! Now I transfer, then make a DVD of my personal camcorder movies and watch them on my flat screen. This DV cable is plug and play and could not be easier to use!translate

Top-quality cable. When it comes to USB cables, Macintosh computers are much pickier than PCs. They need true bi-directional cables, not the cheap no-name cables that most stores carry. This cable is 100% compatible, which supports IEEE 1394 transfer rates of 100/200/400 Mbits . I definitely recommend this cable over all others. It's not expensive, and it should work great with your computer.translate

Weird instalation. The cable works very well, I now can use the printer I had forgotten due to the lack of parallel port in my computer. Installation manual, however, goes only up to windows 2000, which leads me to think that the product is rather old, or that Plug'N'Play usually takes care of this. I had a little puzzle to solve before I managed to make it work, but in the end I realized that the "Printer Spooler" service was disabled from within windows. Once enabled, everything worked perfectly.translate
